A winning combination

The inaugural Access All Areas Conference & Awards saw live event professionals from across the industry discuss key challenges and celebrate success

Key figures from across the live events industry gathered at EartH ( Evolutionary Arts Hackney ) in London on 12 January to kickstart 2023 at a combined awards and

conference event created by the Access All Areas team with the aim of providing a forum for the industry to discuss the challenges and opportunities in the year ahead , while also recognising the key success stories of 2022 .
The Access All Areas Awards recognised the sterling work of promoters , production companies , venue operators and freelancers across the industry . There was a focus on recognising newcomers , and excellence across key areas such as social impact , sustainability , and diversity .
The morning conference focused on three key topics ; sustainability , working through the cost-of-living crisis , and how to redress the impact of the pandemic on staffing levels . All sessions were chaired by Access All Areas content director Christopher Barrett .

Among the winners at the Awards ( see page 43 ) were From The Fields , which was declared event promoter of the year , and FKP Scorpio Entertainment collected best visitor experience for Jurassic World Exhibition .
S & C Productions picked up the best launch event award for The Cambridge Club Festival , while
Mustard Media and the Camp Bestival team were recognised for best marketing campaign for their work on Camp Bestival Shropshire . The Legacy award , which celebrates an event that has had a long-term positive impact on the local community , was won by Towersey Festival .
Towersey event director Joe Heap said , “ Towersey has been going for 59 years so it ’ s nice to get some recognition . It is all about the community and that ’ s what makes it so special .”
Among the many individuals recognised during the ceremony was Kilimanjaro Live head of production Dave Hale who won best production
