Children ’ s Day
Notting Hill Carnival is also keen to attract families , and Morris Tolaram ( pictured below left ) tells us that his float , which appeared on the event ’ s Children ’ s Day was kid safe .
To keep the float family-friendly we ensured there were enough stewards to keep families safe whilst the float was moving and turning corners .
We made sure that all songs played , were clean edits , the lyrics were appropriate , and that the energy of the music wasn ’ t too much to excite the crowd , which has the potential
to make the crowd jump and sway causing people to get squashed . We also took time out to make sure when approaching toilets we notified families following us and that once we reached this point we stopped to allow families to use the toilet facilities and our stewards helped to direct the families in the correct direction .
