But to know that part of the service charge was going to a good cause was really appealing . It costs St Rocco ’ s £ 4.5m a year to run , after all ,” says Tony .
As online ticketing started to work out for the club , performances on the field were proving equally successful . Rylands booked a place in the FA Vase Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium and needed to shift a load of tickets in just six days . Once again , Ticketpass stepped in with its online sales platform – again with donations going to St Rocco ’ s .
The personal touch from Ticketpass made all the difference , with members of the team on-hand at the gate for fans collecting tickets on the day of the game . “ I thought that was really impressive ,” says Tony . “ We felt supported .”

How did you get into events ? I got fed-up with events . Like many of us , I was having to buy tickets in advance just to get my hands on them , or to get them at a reasonable price . But , again , like many of us , it ’ d get closer to the date and I ’ d find I was unable to attend , meaning I was stuck with spare tickets .
Of course , that meant that I ’ d need to find other people to “ pass ” my tickets to – often on Facebook , WhatsApp , Twitter and the like . But , often , I would throw in the towel and take the loss , usually because I couldn ’ t find anyone to take the tickets , or because I didn ’ t know where else to resell . That experience is something familiar to us all .
So , one day I decided to do something about it , by building what I see as the “ next generation ” of ticketing . To me , that ’ s a system that cares about attendees as much as the organisers . It ’ s a platform where events can easily sell out and attendees can easily resell or transfer their tickets . This way venues generate more revenue and artists get to enjoy a better atmosphere , as more seats get filled .
What is your most annoying habit ? Checking my phone after I wake up . Not so much Facebook or TikTok . It ’ s more skimming emails or messages . The only good thing that comes out of this

bad habit is that the screen light helps wake me up without having to open the curtains .
Marvel or DC ? Marvel . However , when I was little , one of my favourite superheroes was the Flash . He didn ’ t have the coolest superpower , but as a kid you sometimes feel like running like the Flash .
Animal that best describes you Probably a dog . Maybe a Husky . I like to think I can be fun , social and curious , as well independent and protective . My brother would say my singing sounds more like a howling dog , too .
What you wanted to be when you were 10 Like many kids , I wanted to be an astronaut . I was fascinated with space and planets , I used to love staring at the moon and stars . I still do . For me , it helps put things in perspective and reminds me how tiny we are in this universe . Geek confession : I have a small meteorite that landed on earth 800,000 years ago on my desk .
