Kicking off the festival season in mid-April, it will now be one of the last events to close the season, if it goes ahead at all. Whether the elusive Frank Ocean will still headline is another unknown. Lyons, France The organisers of electronic music festival Nuits Sonores have been among the most optimistic, moving their event forward just two months to the end of July. We have already seen many festivals scheduled for July announce their cancellation, which may leave Nuits Sonores with the unwanted distinction of being cancelled twice in one year. Bournemouth, England Sports and music festival Bournemouth 7s has rescheduled to the end of August - a process we cover in-depth on pages 19-20, where we speak to the organisers. At the moment, it is situated at the very end of summer, and has a decent chance of going ahead. Fingers crossed those on the South Coast will be able to celebrate the end of all this madness. Distortion Copenhagen, Denmark Speaking of being cancelled twice – Distortion in Copenhagen has already suffered that fate. After moving from early June to late August, the festival was then forced to cancel altogether after the Danish government imposed a blanket ban on all events over 1,000 capacity until 31 August.
