Outdoor event suppliers are seeing a huge spike in demand for their services as the industry prepares for what promises to be one of the busiest on record . Access investigates how they are working to meet that demand while coping with unprecedented supply chain issues

W ith an enviable client list that includes some of the UK ’ s premier outdoor events , Qdos Event Hire supplies buildings and structures , such as cabins , offices , washrooms and hospitality suits , to the likes of the Goodwood Festival of Speed , BMW PGA Championship , Wimbledon and the British Grand Prix .
Part of the Newship Group , Qdos Event Hire ’ s wide-ranging event and TV production support business is overseen by MD James Thomas . He says the reasons for the spike in demand is that the construction and film & tv production sectors : “ We ’ re probably receiving double , if not triple , the number of enquiries that we would have at this time of year prior to the pandemic .”
