020 has just kicked off,
and for the hospitality
industry, there’s no sign of
a post turkey lull.
GL events UK is looking
forward to hospitality
collaborations for this year
and beyond. “We’ve got off
to a flying start, thanks to
partnerships like our long-
standing contribution to Jockey
Club Racecourses’ popular jump
race meetings at Cheltenham
Racecourse, that culminate,
from 10-13 March, in The
Festival, presented by Magners,”
said David Tunnicliffe, GL events
UK commercial director.
“You’ll see GL events’
premium hospitality solutions,
ranging from individually styled
‘pods’ to our signature multi-
decked sponsors’ and hospitality
venues in place across events
including some of the world’s
best golf tournaments.”
The company has also
embraced new innovations,
and says 2020 will be the year
they’re launched. “Attention to
detail is key, as is innovation
within existing relationships.
In the near future, we will be
showcasing innovation on behalf
of Jockey Club Racecourses,
designed to enhance an already
world-class visitor experience.”
All this is in preperation for a
year of elevated requirements.
“We’ve seen growth in demand
for full, turnkey offerings among
hospitality clients across all
kinds of events. When your
reputation is based on a quality
offering and creative, reliable
relationships, clients are happy
to entrust temporary structure
suppliers with creating much
more than a blank canvas.
“The demand is for complete
overlay solutions including
power, interior design and
branding, furniture, climate
control. The ability to provide
the best temporary seating
grandstands is a plus, too. We’re
happy to provide everything our
hospitality clients require.”
GL are also keen to stay true
to their quality. “It’s important
not to sell yourself cheaply,
especially in a competitive
market. Confidence, ambition
and investment in our people
as well as our temporary
infrastructure offering mean

that GL events continues to
deliver outstanding quality.
That’s important in a market
where premium experience and
seamless working relationships
are so highly valued.
Elsewhere, companies are
repositioning for hospitality
requirements. AirClad reports
that it already has some
interesting events booked for
2020 as it looks to increase the
awareness of AirClad in the
UK, as well as being engaged in
promising conversations with
premium end events. “2019
