FEBRUARY | COMPANY PROFILE
“This put the UK Actavo office on the
map for supplying international sporting
events, while maintaining our work on
more local marathons, participation
sports and stadium events. We also
continually work on cultural, corporate,
conference, exhibition, brand activation
and government events.
“In 2015 the company rebranded
as Actavo, in-line with corporate
consolidation and we continued
expanding, including being directly
contracted for pedestrian and police
barriers for The Rugby World Cup at
London Stadium, all installed under
a fully managed service. It’s all about
taking care of the customers and London
Stadium is another client who saw us
working, used us again, and now bring us
in for all events, including the West Ham
home games.
“We matured our service offering
further in 2016, developing partnerships
with Layher and Prolyte, adding internal
design, with attentive focus on customer
care.
“As part of this design service we
invested in a bridging system for the
new T in The Park site with DF Concerts.
Our ongoing expansion was based on
strong delivery to make sure the clients
achieve their desired outcome.
“This continued into 2017, when
we supplied covered grandstands for
Edinburgh Rugby, supported from a new,
larger Scotland facility. We also designed
and installed a bespoke giant Christmas
tree, built with our Layher system,
complete with a helter skelter, as a fun
activation.
“We also expanded our London office
by relocating to Uxbridge, co located
with other Actavo businesses.
“2018 saw us appointed by the
Principal Contractors, GL Events, for the
European Championships, with Actavo
providing all the scaffolding structures.
Once again, being part of the larger
group enabled investment in extensive
stock of Layher Scaffold systems. Adding
in our experience and expertise, we
focussed on growing our service to

clients to help them achieve their aims in
a safe, cost effective, creative way.
“In a similar way we have been
a preferred supply partner at the
Roundhouse in Camden for several years.
We invested in a custom temporary
stair case solution, which is ideal for
connecting the balcony with the ground
floor of the venue and they call on us
to install and remove it whenever it’s
needed.
“With our ability to draw on an
extensive, diverse internal stock of
specialist event equipment we provide a
one stop shop service for their clients.
“But our annual customer surveys tell
us it’s the service and our relationship
clients’ value the most. We make sure
we pay attention to what people want
and have a team who take ownership /
responsibility to make the clients’ events
work.”
What does the future have in store?
“There is a clear vision to grow the
business at home and internationally
through strategic partnerships by
further expanding our client and supply
network. We are looking forward to
working to push boundaries with our
existing clients on many regular / annual
events, whist adding major one-off major
spectaculars, such as the UEFA Euro
2020 Championships, Birmingham
Commonwealth Games in 2022 and the
Ryder Cup 2026. Providing good value
without compromising quality of service
is an ongoing challenge and looking for
more environmentally sustainable ways
to deliver our services to clients is a
priority.
“We’re looking forward to celebrating
our tenth anniversary with everyone at
the Event Production Show in ExCeL,
having met so many of our friends in the
industry at the show over the years. See
you there.”
