W
elcome to EPS 2018, the annual
gathering of the live and outdoor events
industry. Th is year's show takes place at
Olympia London at the end of February, and Access
is delighted to reveal the key highlights that will
ensure another successful show in this exclusive
preview.
“We are very excited, as we always are at this
stage of the year, at the approaching show. Th is year
we have been working extremely hard to deliver the
most diverse range of exhibitors and an absolutely
stellar line up of speakers that will ensure all visitors
have plenty to see, experience and learn from.
Everyone will leave the show feeling inspired, with
plenty of new ideas for how to make their 2018 and
beyond events the most memorable yet,” says event
director Duncan Siegle.
EPS takes place on 28 February – 1 March at
Olympia London. It is co-located with International
Confex and offi ce* show. Also taking place on 28
February are the Event Production Awards, at
Novotel London West from 7pm (see p15).

The Wow Factor - What’s in store for you at
EPS 18?
Th e Main Stage
Many of the key issues within the industry from
the last 12 months will be discussed by top-line
industry speakers, debating the core points and what
we can do to continue to drive the industry forwards
whilst protecting those involved. Th e last year has
seen a number of take overs, issues with secondary
ticketing as well as some severe terror threats, and
all these will be discussed by our panels.
On Day One, John Giddings from Isle of Wight
Festival returns to discuss whether live music can
save the music industry, joined by Stuart Galbraith
of Kilimanjaro Live, Ben Jones as moderator and a

special guest star from the music industry – watch
this space! Mitigating the terrorism threat is another
key topic with Daniel Craig from Loudsound and
further panels will be discussing licensing, tech and
just how important outdoor events are.
Day Two continues to deliver a fabulous line up
with a key note including Liz Hobbs and Colin
Chapple discussing Victoria Park. An exclusive View
from Across the Pond involving producers from
the largest US and UK festivals comparing the two
markets, alongside Th e Fanfair Alliance continuing
to challenge the secondary ticketing industry.
Th e Access Sessions, hosted by Access All Areas,
returns to deliver more hands on, technical
education including content on health and safety,
