Major Events International to take the stage at EPS
Major Events International ( MEI ) has joined forces with Event Production Show ( EPS ) to deliver a day of content dedicated to large format sporting events and how they are working with suppliers to deliver efficient , safer and more profitable events
MEI is the only sport consultancy business operating exclusively in major events planning , delivery and legacy . It has experience of working with the vast majority of major international sporting events , including every summer Olympic Games since Athens 2004 through to Rio 2016 , and relationships with future Games in Tokyo 2020 , Paris 2024 and the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022 . The organisation ’ s one-day conference at EPS will cover important themes including managing safety and security in large format events , how to deliver efficient events , how sporting events are building revenues , and cost saving exercises post pandemic . Andy Rice , COO of MEI , says he is looking forward to being back at a live event : “ EPS is a must attend for the events industry , which is one of the reasons we have partnered with them for so many years . This year ’ s event will be fantastic – the industry can get back together and share their experiences of the last 12 months and how they are planning for the future . MEI will also host a pavilion throughout the two days of the show , on which visitors can meet some of the members and find out more about large scale sporting events . Exhibitors including Blade Rigg , Halo , Controlled Risks and EEP will offer advice on areas such as branding , incident management , risk mitigation and safety and security . Rice adds , “ There is so much practical advice to learn from the world of large format sporting events and EPS provides the perfect platform to deliver this .
