 THE STAR OF THE SHOW
After a stellar season, Star Live CEO Grahame Muir says preparations are ongoing for another landmark year as it approaches its 50th anniversary.
From the VE Day 80 concert to the Oasis tour and launch of LIDO, prestigious sports competitions including Wimbledon and the London E-Prix, to the launch of the NEON Global immersive exhibition venue at Battersea Power Station; it’ s been a summer to remember for Star Live.
Speaking from the company’ s new Milton Keynes offices, Grahame Muir certainly has a lot to be pleased about. On the back of an impressive array of projects completed over the summer, there is clearly a real onward momentum and much to look forward to on the back of the company having invested in new equipment, new staff, and a new HQ with expanded storage facilities.
Star Live’ s international presence is also growing, with significant projects in territories including Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, China and Mexico.
The company has also diversified its offering beyond staging to include brand activations, semi-permanent buildings, and seating solutions. At the 2025 London E-Prix alone, Star Live designed, engineered and built five grandstand structures, provided around 10,000 seats and two-storey hospitality suites for the Jaguar and McLaren racing teams.
On the back of numerous enquiries following the record-breaking use of its Ultra Stage for the Oasis tour( see box), Muir says Star Live is now newly positioned as a global touring staging business:“ It uses all-black steel, is over 20 metres high, has huge cantilevered wings, and is very quick to build. Unlike the competition, who build the back wall using PVC, steel and aluminium, we used theatre technology to produce a drape that goes up and down at flick of a button. That took a day off the build, which is massive. That stage, for us, is a statement of intent.”
While Star Live has had no shortage of new projects this summer, it maintained
