working with leading brands
such as Virgin, Chinawhite,
Glastonbury Festivals, Dyson
and the Carphone Warehouse,
Bott Enjoys being part of, as
well as managing, motivating
and training, a successful
and productive team. He
was nominated for the list
by NoNonsense Group’s Liz
Madden.
Which events do you work on?
At SWG Events I’m very
fortunate to have a wide client
base that includes not only
concerts and festivals but
corporate and private clients
as well. Some highlights of
what my team and I are looking
after this year, the technical
supply of the Hampton Court
Festival, I’ll be back at the
farm at Glastonbury once
again and very much looking
forward to being involved in
its 50th Anniversary. We have
Countryfile Live at Windsor
Great Park and concerts with
Tom Jones and Chic.
still love nothing better than

maintaining our stock. It’s also
not unknow from time to time
to see me behind a console!
We have a close management
team at SWG and planning,
financials and business
development are all part of my
roll.
Which suppliers do you enjoy
working with and why?
We have developed some great
relationships with like minded
companies who can help us out
with alternative equipment or
supporting us when demand is
high.
No Nonsense Group fit our
ethos perfectly. Liz Madden and
the team present a great product
and “out of the box” thinking we
need to support our clients. Kev
& Ste at Stage Audio Services
have supported us for many
years and again fit into our way
of working and client delivery,
nothing is too much trouble.
They also have a sale division
now, hopefully I can get a better
discount for mentioning it!
How are you reacting to
coronavirus as a business?
Now is a time for making Plan Bs
and pushing on. We need to try
and keep our industry moving
forward as best we can. We need
to think about tomorrow, now.
Outdoor events definitely
bought some time, due to their
later start dates in the summer.
Companies must look at the
Government advice offers, and
make decisions as to how it can
be applied to their personal
circumstances. There’s been
very different actions taken
worldwide, so there’s no clear
precedent, and every day, things
change.
It may well be that, looking
forward, date changes are
necessary.
Talking about it, and having
discussions is positive. We
should come together as a
group, and do what we can to
help each other.
What are you responsible for in
your role?
I manage an amazing team
who have a huge range of
skills. First and foremost, I’m
responsible for the delivery of
any of our services to our clients
supporting my team. Day to
day I’ll be visiting customers,
attending site visits or getting
stuck into quoting, although I
