ChatGPT was created by OpenAI in 2020 and it is a powerful artificial intelligence ( AI ) model that uses natural language processing to understand and generate human-like responses . 1 ChatGPT may have the potential to revolutionize AML techniques by automating and predicting the detection of suspicious financial activities , thus reducing the risk of financial crimes . However , there are challenges in deploying ChatGPT , including regulatory compliance , criminal advancement , consensus and standardization , as well as supervision and validation .
