celebrate the amazing work of
top volunteers and nonprofits,
and their outstanding service to
our region. The following very deserving
nominees were chosen for their excellent
service to the Inland Empire:
Adult Volunteer of the Year
Lyn Ferrall
CASA of San Bernardino County
CASA volunteers are court appointed
special advocates for youth. Lyn has
advocated for youth since 2012 and has
devoted over 650 volunteer hours.
Nonprofit Agency of the Year
Reach Out Morongo Basin
In 2013, Reach Out provided services to
920 senior and disabled neighbors with
four staff and 235 volunteers. Volunteers
made 1,331 trips and drove 46,085 miles.
Nonprofit Employee of the Year
Alicia Dunn
The Lord’s Table
The Lord’s Table feeds the hungry,
helps the needy, and reaches out to
other ministries when called upon.
Alicia volunteered her service for 19
years and is now the only paid employee.
Executive Director of the Year
Cynthia Breunig
Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio
Cynthia’s council has been recognized
by Girl Scouts of the USA as a national
trailblazer in reaching out to girls who would
not normally consider joining Girl Scouts.
Youth Volunteer of the Year
Daniel Escalante
Victor Valley Rescue Mission
During his summer break this year, Daniel
chose to enter a position of more direct
impact with the mission, volunteering over
200 hours within a 2 month period.
