Welcome back sport fans! Our motto as we mentioned back in our September issue (and our very first outing) was to bring you "the finest, the most positive and encouraging stories about the world of community sports". Hopefully you've enjoyed the ride, because we're back to bring you more.
As the winter months slow down and spring comes forth, we're witnessing the end of many sport seasons (including soccer, rugby, australian rules and plenty more), so we've lined up a few champions to tell us their secrets about their successes.
Like the Team Manager of the Monash Warriors, who claimed a three-peat of Vic BOWL Championships; the Head Coach of the Sunbury Tigers Rugby club (back to back Victorian Rugby premiers), NPL1 champions Avondale Heights and the IFWA jet-skiing World Champion!
All you have to do is follow the little symbol to find out what our champions have to say about their title-winning seasons.
But let's not forget about those who have pushed hard this season and narrowly missed out on glory. We speak to the clubs ready to begin their title charge in 2015.
Plus, we invite a former Olympian and Kookaburra star to sit
down for a chat, and a man dedicating his life to supporting
the community and the children.
And also during this little busy month of ours, we caught up for
a coffee with the very lovely and very special, Madi Robinson;
Australian Diamonds Star, Melbourne Vixens premiership player,
oh, and 2014 Glasglow Commonwealth Games gold medalist.
She ordered a cappuccino, we ordered a couple of lattes, as we
spoke about her love of netball, food, teaching and how she's
managing to juggle her many lives.
