Students in Drama 9 learn the skills required to create interesting characters through the use of movement and voice, improvisation, analysis, and play-building. This course is a foundation for Drama 10, which shifts from creative drama to more concrete theatre skills. Students will delve into how identity is explored, expressed, and impacted through drama experiences. Drama provides opportunities to gain insight into the perspectives and experiences of people from a variety of times, places, and cultures. Assessment will include both process and performance.

Drama 10 is a semester-long course that deepens students’ foundational performance skills. Building on Drama 9, students expand their abilities in script and character analysis, vocal technique, movement, improvisation, playbuilding, monologue, and audition preparation.
