Students with a solid linguistic background will further develop their linguistic competence by completing more complex activities in all skill areas, including novel studies. Students will be prepared to move through the curriculum at an accelerated rate in order to complete French 12 by the end of their Grade 11 year.

French 10( 9 Accelerated) continues to build on students’ solid foundations with focus given to the development of analytical and creative skills. Emphasis is placed on mastery and integration of all four language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Activities and themes promote the use of interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational modes of communication. Students in this class receive credit for French 10. Assessment includes interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational modes of communication.
