Can my daughter take a second foreign language course in addition to French ?
Yes . As a Grade 9 elective course , the department offers a one-semester , introductory course in Mandarin and in Spanish . Beginning in Grade 10 , students may choose to study either French , Mandarin or Spanish as their second language course .
Does the school recommend Summer Programs / Trips in second languages ?
The department receives numerous brochures outlining summer programs in French , Mandarin and Spanish and will provide information upon request . All enrichment programs ( credit and noncredit options ) are listed under “ Enrichment Programs ” in Naviance , our post-secondary planning portal for Grades 10 to 12 families .
