FEATURED SESSION
311 Make Room for Boys! Supporting Busy Preschool Boys
Adult-child interactions are essential to engaging children and providing a positive learning environment. Many teachers gravitate toward the early childhood field with a passion for engaging in playful reciprocal interactions with young children. Preschool boys often have physical energy that can present challenges to teachers committed to creating a positive learning environment. In this session, participants will explore video examples, small group discussions, and a PowerPoint presentation to gain ideas for embracing the energy of preschool boys and using it to extend their learning in the classroom. Participants will benefit from specific examples from experienced teachers implementing strategies designed specifically to meet the needs of preschool boys.
