and introductions. The first session was held in one of the large upstairs rooms with dual
aspect. I mention this because the open windows and the views were very much a part of the
session as it will unfold. We started the session with some breathing exercises followed by the
first of the movements. The Chi Kung is an 18 movement system ranging from very simplistic
to more convoluted, but all of it is very achievable to a fairly fit person. I must say that the
group was largely made up of women in their mature years, but we were joined by Gideon,
the journeyman when one didn’t show.
We did a meditation and the sky was heavy and the atmosphere stormy, we listened to the
rain falling heavily but softly outside, dripping from the roofs, and there was more than one or
two little snores escaping……………….
We stopped for a break and had tea and home made fruit cake and muesli bars for energy.
There was a break in the rain and the sun came out, so we decided to go outdoors for the
next series of moves, and stood in a circle in the steaming grass working through the
exercises.
As it clouded over, the cool air got the better of us and we returned to the clemency of the
upstairs room to continue with alternate meditations and exercise and “getting to know each
other” tasks.
We had all brought something vegetarian for lunch and Marina had made a huge salad and
lunch was a convivial affair with plenty of home brewed beer and tea.
The afternoon was a gentle continuation, and before we knew it, it was almost 5 o’clock. I
must admit I had thought that the day might prove rather long and tedious at times, starting
at 10.00 in the morning, but it was not so and the time was energising, fulfilling and
interesting.
I would recommend these days to anyone who is interested In Tai Chi and understand that
Nick Stark intends to offer more of these in the future. Nick has a Facebook page for anyone
who is interested.

Of course I am more than made up to see how the group Abus Coritani has taken off in the last
few years and it is a joy and a pleasure to meet so many new people and celebrate the
Sabbats and mix and mingle at our various talks, workshops and moots, but those who know
