Oat and Sultana Cookies
3 oz SR Flour 2 oz sultanas 65g sugar 3 oz porridge oats 4 oz butter 1 tblspn golden syrup Milk
Method:
Cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Drop in one tablespoon golden syrup, stir until thoroughly mixed. Add sultanas, oats and flour and stir into a chunky dough. If it is too dry add a LITTLE milk just enough for it to combine into a firm dough. This mix should make about 12 / 13 chunky cookies. I left them quite heaped. Bake at Gas 150 deg for around 25 mins or until JUST beginning to catch some colour on the edges. They will still feel soft on removal from the oven but will firm up as they cool. Optional: drizzle some melted chocolate over once cooled. My tip: salted butter- makes a difference to the taste.
