South Africa ’ s award-winning road running series , the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series , continues its 2023 season with the eighth edition of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY CAPE TOWN 10K on Sunday 14 May , and the Mother City is ready to run again !
The Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series has been revolutionising the road running space in South Africa since 2015 , encourages runners , walkers and fitness lifestyle enthusiasts to participate in the most experiential mass participation road running events in SA . Now in 2023 , the series has been elevated from a three-race series ( Cape Town , Durban and Johannesburg ) to five , with the inclusion this year of new events in Gqeberha and Tshwane .
Founder of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series , Michael Meyer , says that 2023 is a ground-breaking year for the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series . “ We are thrilled to take the experience of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series to five major cities in 2023 , giving more South Africans the opportunity to be part of a world-class event that highlights iconic city landmarks , includes magnificent views , and features lively performances from some of the city ’ s leading performing arts groups .” event in the country , our key objective was to get the country moving in the right direction , and help our communities and colleagues to aspire to change their lives and that of their community for the better . We recognise that now more than ever , we need to play an even greater role in bringing the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series closer to the people .”
