FORGE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP TO DRIVE ECONOMIC GROWTH AND INNOVATION IN TSHWANE
In a landmark move, the Tshwane Economic Development Agency( TEDA) and the Production Technologies Association of South Africa( PtSA) have officially cemented their partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding( MOU). This collaboration is set to invigorate the region, fostering technological advancement and attracting substantial investment
The Memorandum of Understanding( MOU) establishes a framework for collaboration between TEDA https:// teda. org. za / and PtSA https:// www. ptsa. co. za / about-ptsa /, leveraging their respective strengths to achieve mutual objectives. The agreement outlines key areas of cooperation:
• Attracting Investment: TEDA and PtSA will jointly develop strategies to attract domestic and international investment into Tshwane, specifically targeting the production technology sector.
• Skills Development: The partnership will explore opportunities to create and implement training programs relevant to advanced manufacturing and production technologies, recognizing the importance of a skilled workforce.
• Support for Local Businesses: The MOU aims to foster a supportive environment for local enterprises in the production technology space, facilitating their growth and enhancing their competitiveness.
• Promoting Innovation: TEDA and PtSA will work together to encourage innovation, research, and the adoption of new technologies within the region’ s industrial sector.
For TEDA, this partnership is a significant step towards fulfilling its mandate of driving sustainable economic growth and job creation in the City of Tshwane. By collaborating with PtSA, a leading industry association in production technologies, TEDA gains valuable industry insights, networks, and expertise, which will enhance its ability to:
