Aggressive cooling apertures and carbon fiber keel elements create a trimaran effect, visually linking to cars like the 812 Competizione. Three pairs of bonnet louvres and deeper brake air intakes further define its bold front. The rear, influenced by the 296 Challenge, features protruding side wings and a more compact, visually lighter tail. A broader black strip with integrated taillights evolves the black screen concept, contributing to a lighter, aggressive look.
The race-car-like diffuser extends further, with a central part visually interacting with the exhaust. The tailpipe, positioned above the diffuser, is an F80-inspired departure from the 296 GTB. Unlike the 296 GTB ' s cosmetic engine cover, the Speciale features a technical, dark cover concealed by a metal mesh.
From the side, the 296 Speciale emphasizes the 296 GTB ' s flying bridge theme with a dark roof, giving the cockpit a sportier, more aggressive bubble-like appearance. The flank reveals greater dynamism, with a lower front visual center of gravity and protruding rear winglets conveying power. Front radiator air vents in the bumper combine sculpture and function.
A new five-spoke forged wheel, derived from the F80 ' s carbon-fiber wheel, features contemporary, stylized forms. Sculpted, lightened forms behind the spokes and a diamond-cut finish extending into the barrel enhance its three-dimensionality.
The interior aligns with Ferrari ' s special version philosophy, featuring simplified, race-focused solutions with extensive carbon fiber and Alcantara © for weight savings. A minimalist carbon fiber door panel incorporates Hi-Fi speakers directly into the material. Bare fasteners enhance the racing atmosphere. The entirely carbon fiber center tunnel houses a raised console with the iconic ' shift gate ' element, a reinterpreted historical feature and the interior ' s focal point.
