Rustenburg’s gem Award-winning e-CAR member, Rustenburg Auto, has been in the car service and maintenance game for over three decades. The ever-green operation has consistently delivered high quality workmanship, backed-up by decades old know-how and experience in the automotive servicing trade. W hile Rustenburg motorists have come to know the business well, aBr’s interest in the venture was piqued during the National e-CAR Indaba, held at the Wanderer’s Club in Johannesburg earlier this year. During the annual event, Rustenburg Auto owner, Joao Amorim, was presented with a cheque for R25 000 from e-CAR Manager, Wilfried Langenbach. Joao accepted the award on behalf of the business, which took the 2013 e-CAR Workshop of the Year title. The e-CAR Workshop of the Year award recognises outstanding performance among e-CAR members, in all facets of business. While aBr attempted to pinpoint the reasons for this most recent success, Joao remained modest and humble in victory. “I was actually quite surprised that we won the award,” he says. “We didn’t do anything unusual during 2013 - we simply followed the excellent advice given to us by e-CAR. They provided us with a list of targets that they wanted us to achieve and we simply went about realising them.
