Efficiency Motorsports’ first Cape Town event proved the Mother City has one of the world’ s most welcoming racing communities.
Racing Killarney in reverse was a novelty for the Efficiency Motorsport drivers. While the overall atmosphere in the pit area and among the racers was competitive but welcoming. Killarney is technically daunting. It is an old-school circuit with very slim margins for error. But it also has that traditional sense of motorsport hospitality, where drivers from true weekend warriors to extensively funded teams feel welcome.
Another coastal round next
After a wonderful outing to Killarney, Efficiency Motorsports is already planning and preparing for the next event. Efficiency Motorsports will proudly be present at the FAW Eastern Cape Time Attack, hosted at the Aldo Scribante circuit, next to the Coega trade port, scheduled for late October. at the Simola Hill Climb in May, an event notorious for its risky and rainy weather, Efficiency Motorsports encountered ideal autumn conditions. For the Killarney Time Attack, the prediction was for dramatic storm conditions, but the reality was more ideal racing days.
Efficiency Motorsports drivers and technicians will be hoping that the team’ s fair-weather charm continues to the Eastern Cape for the Aldo Scribante event. A venue with deep South African Italian motorsport heritage. And one where the majority of Efficiency Motorsports racing fleet, which are Alfa Romeos, should feel very much at home.
Coastal motorsport events are always a weather gamble, but this season Efficiency Motorsports has been extraordinarily lucky with conditions. At the team’ s debut
