The Croisière Verte expedition, led by former rally-raid driver Éric Vigouroux, has successfully completed its 16,000 km journey from Ourzazate, Morocco to Cape Town, South Africa in four fully-electric Citroën Ami’ s. The four-month journey showcased the feasibility of micro-mobility and electrification across diverse terrains, proving the capability of electric vehicles. The Croisière Verte, a groundbreaking journey completed on February 28, 2025, exclusively utilized green energy, marking a significant achievement in electric mobility. The convoy of four modified Citroën Amis embarked on their 16-country expedition from Ouarzazate, Morocco, on October 28, 2024, and concluded in Cape Town. This zero-emissions journey, a world first, showcases the potential of electric vehicles even in challenging terrains, redefining long-distance travel a century after André Citroën’ s Croisière Noire.
