Axalta’ s Market-Leading Fast Cure Low Energy Technology- Supporting Bodyshops

Axalta’ s Fast Cure Low Energy( FCLE) technology is
designed to reduce energy consumption in the spraybooth while still achieving the best quality repair available. Based on Axalta’ s revolutionary in-house chemistry that uses both temperature and ambient humidity to accelerate the drying process, the full FCLE product system delivers the perfect balance between high speed and low baking energy consumption, while maintaining the highest quality finish available. Bodyshops can opt to use this speed of performance to offer rapid repair services that will increase their profitability by maximising vehicle throughput.
FCLE technology provides exceptional refinish quality as well as increasing sustainability during drying, resulting in reduced emissions, energy consumption – up to 50 % of gas and up to 48 % on electricity because of low bake or air drying. While FCLE technology was already recognised as a fast and productive coating solution, its patented, next generation FCLE clearcoat and surfacer products, launched just last year, offer increased durability while also meeting several OEM specifications.
This opens new opportunities for forwardthinking, productivity-focused bodyshops that are looking for a smarter system for smarter energy savings. These next generation products build on the success of their predecessors. The improved FCLE System continues to deliver all the benefits refinishers have come to expect, and more, with significant energy savings at the top of the list.
Lucian Jantjies, Refinish Business Manager for South Africa at Axalta, says,“ At Axalta, our primary focus is driving continual technological innovation to make the entire paint repair journey faster and easier.”
Axalta delivers the FCLE System through three of its leading premium refinish brands: Cromax – Ultra Performance Energy System; Spies Hecker – under the Speed-TEC product family; and Standox – Xtreme System.
