Godfrey (pictured right) was the quiz show winner, and he was ably assisted by work colleague Meshan Chetty. Godfrey gets to partake in the Legends Car Racing Experience in November 2014, along with the other Partinform winners. A very happy Godfrey said that he learnt a lot from the show, and would definitely be back for more the next time the show rolls into PE Wednesday 12 March 2014 was windswept and wet, and as the sun set in the west, the day morphed into a dark and stormy night. Would the good folk of Port Elizabeth go out on a night like this? Dark storm clouds, heavy, black, and pendulous, hung over the Pine Lodge Resort, off Mari ne Drive, Cape Recife, towards which the Partinform invitees were driving. But they were on a night out, and they were not going to let a storm spoil the rest of their evening. It was a night out they were going to remember for a very long time. B y the time the show started, over 150 attendees had arrived. Parts resellers, workshop technicians, fleet buyers, technical managers, ➲ The Partinform girls, a double feature of Partinform, were flying the flag of the four sponsors of the evening: GUD, and more, with names such as Brad, Janet, Johan and Monroe, Federal-Mogul and Holts Laetitia, Sipho and Lindiwe; all had come to hear the Partinform message. A powerful message of technical competence, quality branded parts, after sales support, South African manufacture, CPA compliance, and doing the right thing. It was a fest of science fact, and not fiction, which would have upset the riff raff, but not the technical majors. And the technical boffins were not disappointed. The 2014 version of the Partinform Automotive Components Trade Show follows the tried and tested template that Partinform has been dishing out for quite a few years. A template of edutainment, information, technical tips, one on one networking, and prizes galore, with the big prize being a retro ride in the fast and furious Legend Racing vehicle. The enthusiasm right through the evening was palpable, and all went home satisfied and sated, with a jump in their step. aBr has witnessed many a Partinform, and has given testimony for many a year, and the night of 12 March was no different. It was a time warp of note, as the powerful message was driven home. aBr gives its readers a Partinform picture show: see more on www.abrbuzz.co.za | words in action 60 april 2014
