Mercier releases a watch that
retails for under $1,000, the
watch collecting public is going to sit up and
take notice. It’s not often that a brand name
spoken in the same breath with some of the
greatest watches known comes out with a

The My Classima collection from Baume
and Mercier offers the opportunity to own
a Swiss call brand for only a few hundred
dollars. The watches are designed after
styles of Baume and Mercier of the 1940s,
so case sizes are traditional with 40mm,
36mm and 31mm.
The watches are slim, elegantly
designed with the features you would expect
from this brand – sapphire crystal, surgical
grade stainless steel, cowhide leather and
a date complication. The engine is a Swiss
