Teemane Mall

Work is progressing well at Teemane Mall . RedEast is busy with the internal tenant installations and has nearly completed all the external parking and service yards . We are still waiting for the Roads Department to finalise the new access and entrance to the mall and we will have our work cut out to have this complete before the opening . The containerised sewer treatment plant - manufactured in South Africa , is complete and will be shipped to site in the next few weeks . We are sitting at over 90 % of the GLA signed up and are set to open , as scheduled on 25 August 2022 .
Motswedi Multi-Residential Development

The construction for the first phase of the development has started . The site has been handed to the contractor China Jangsui and they have cleared the site and started the bulk earthworks . Motswedi offers something quite unique in town , as our emphasis on the importance of achieving quality spaces and connection between public and semi-private space to improve public interaction and exchange . Through the decently sized windows and door designs , a visual expansion and connection between these expanded public spaces will be greatly achieved .
First Capital Bank Head Office

The construction of the new headquarters for First Capital Bank in Lusaka is progressing well . Despite more than normal rainfall during the months of December to April the columns for half the building are done and the contractor has started with the decking of the ground floor slab . Paul Munnik Architects has been working closely with the bank to get the space planning signed off with some new ‘ Covid features ’. The client is going for a funky , modern internal look and we are looking forward to putting the puzzle pieces together . With this being the first potential 5-star green building in Zambia rated by the Green Building Council from South Africa ( GBCSA ), there have been some issues in sourcing the right material , however the team managed to overcome this and we are on track to receive the 5-star rating .
