Upgrading of the Lusaka Golf Course

Each project undertaken by Time Projects is unique in the sense of getting the project , location , funding , deal structure , design and several other factors .
The majority of the projects that Time Projects has done is in the commercial , industrial and residential space . It is not often that we get ourselves involved with the construction of a golf course . Brett and I started working on the Lusaka Golf Club deal back in 2019 and despite Covid and numerous other factors that made business tough , the work on the Lusaka Golf Course has officially commenced . Below is a high-level program of the work that will be done .

As can be seen , most of the work that will be carried out will be on the greens that were built in 1955 and actually look fantastic taking into consideration that they have been played on for 67 years ! The new greens will be roughly 50 % bigger than the current greens which will have proper drainage and sand medium for the grass to grow in and will also get brand new imported grass . The bunker sand which currently is basically soil will be replaced with imported proper bunker sand . Selected tees will be manicured and better golf cart paths will be constructed . Initially , the 25-year-old irrigation system was just going to get new ring mains and sprinklers around the greens , but now the whole system will get an automated pump station and all the pipes and sprinklers will be replaced .
