It is really amazing how time flies . If you have a look at the top of the front page , you will notice that this is Issue 50 of AboutTime . It ’ s quite a surprise that we have hit the half century mark without missing one issue in 12 years . It seems like just yesterday that I chatted to Sandy about us doing a newsletter and took on the task of producing it once a quarter .
I have sometimes rued the decision to suggest that we produce a newsletter . I really did make a rod for my back , but now , I really am glad that we kept at it . Certainly , there are a lot of people who have enjoyed reading it over the years .
needs to be monitored for a year to check all the savings that are achieved . Perhaps we will be able to let you know in the very near future which project we are going to be taking on for this certification .
In the first issue of AboutTime , we also highlighted our new website and quite by coincidence , we can let you know that we have updated our website to give it a fresh , new look and feel . Feel free to pop in and have a look at the properties we have available at

Just to understand how long ago it was , the first front page was on the completion of the FNB building in Francistown . I ’ m sure that many of you don ’ t even know we developed it . Other articles included the start of Sebele Centre and Deloitte ’ s offices in the showgrounds , Kgale Manor and the completion of our new offices in the Main Mall , Time Square .
I had to chuckle when I read Sandy ’ s message ! He said , “ It ’ s no coincidence that Time Projects finds itself in its new offices at Time Square , 134 Independence Ave , in a modern , state of the art office development .”
Little did he know how far we would progress from those offices in terms of modern , state of the art offices . We have really taken the lead in Botswana and Zambia in getting green building and Edge certification .
• We have already achieved : 5-star ‘ Design ’ rating for Prime Plaza II ( the first in Botswana ).
• We have submitted : 5-star ‘ As Built ’ rating for Mashatu Terrace ( the first in Botswana ).
We are busy with the submissions for :
• 5-star ‘ Design ’ rating for First Capital Bank Head Office in Lusaka ( the first in Zambia ).
• Level 1 Edge Certification for Barloworld Head Office ( the first in Botswana ).
There are a few other categories of certification that we would like to pursue , one that we can certainly do is the existing building category , but this is a more time consuming certification as the existing building
