PROJECT UPDATES - BOTSWANA
Kanu Equipment’s big
move set for December
By Roy Mapharing
The new home of Kanu Equipment is well ahead of the
program. The client is already finalising the logistics of
moving which is scheduled for the first week of December
2019. Final external trades are ongoing while the tenant
is busy with the installation of the IT networking. The
attention to detail and quality of the work is exceptional
considering the rate at which we have accelerated the
program. In the next 60 days we will have completed and
handed over to Kanu Equipment for beneficial occupation.
Lobatse Junction
One-stop shopping in a bustling transport hub
By Mmika Selei
The project has experienced some delays in obtaining planning and
building approval. After engaging with the Lobatse Town Council,
we were able to get a conditional approval pending environmental
management plan (EMP) approval from the Department of Environmental
Affairs. The contractor has been issued with the letter of intent and
construction work is expected to get underway beginning of October.
ISSUE 39 - SEPTEMBER 2019
The work will be done in two phases. Phase 1 work includes construction
of new roads and parking for the new taxi and bus rank and bulk
earthworks including road widening of the existing town council road.
Phase 2 will include the shopping centre and associated works which is
expected to start in the first quarter of 2020. The project will be a long
awaited development to the landscape of the small town of Lobatse and
we are proud to be part of this development.
