Time Adventure
Challenge raises funds
for community parks
Over 300 participants took part in the annual
Time Adventure at Mokolodi Nature Reserve
on 8 July which saw runners and cyclists
competing in a four-leg relay race consisting
of a 10km trail run, two 15km mountain bike
rides and a 5km trail run. Time Projects started
this event in 2014 as a way of giving back to
the community and all proceeds are donated to
charity. The funds raised from this year’s event
will be used to build another outdoor gym park.
Time Projects MD Sandy Kelly says,
“Previously, we have raised over P350 000
from the Time Adventure Challenge which
has been ploughed back into community
projects. These include a contribution,
together with business associates, to the
Futsal Park in Bontleng and two outdoor gym
parks, one at Kgale View and the other at
Segoditshane Way. This year we plan to do
something similar. That way, our initiative can
be transferred to the youth and adults in less
privileged communities to join the healthy
body, healthy mind regime.”
