GENERAL NEWS
Heinrich Malan addressed the crowd and thanked
everyone who was involved. He especially thanked
the professional team and the main contractor (Red
East Zambia) for their great work in the difficult and
remote area of Chirundu. With speeches completed
by the Minister and other politicians, the ribbons
to Shoprite were cut, balloons filled the air and the
crowd pressed their way towards the doors, eager
to take advantage of the opening specials.
The 4 700m² mall brings much needed formal
shopping to Chirundu and has changed the face
of Chirundu. Tenanting has been difficult, but now
that the mall is officially open, it is sure to bring
new tenants. The current tenants occupy 73% of the
lettable area.
