Chirundu Mall on track for official opening
By Michael Hughes and Julien Matoka
The residents of Chirundu in
Zambia can now look forward
to the opening of another one
of Time Project’s developments
which will be Chirundu’s first ever
shopping mall with retail space of
4 700m² anchored by Zambia’s
most popular supermarket,
Shoprite. The mall is barely two
months away from its official
opening on 26 April 2018.
Heavy rains have hampered the completion of the external works
and the main contractor, Zhengtai Construction, has been battling the
elements to ensure that the programme remains on track.

Shoprite has started its shop fit-out and the shelving and joinery fittings are
being installed. Tenanting is on track with leases for Pep and Jet having
been signed. The signed-up tenants occupy 73% of the lettable area.
Munali Mall is
set for completion
in August
Munali Mall, located in the central Lusaka suburb of
Munali, has 6 000m² of prime retail space and a
catchment area consisting of over 40 000 potential
customers. Anchored by both Shoprite and Hungry
Lion, the shopping centre is now darting towards roof
construction as it remains in line with its expected
completion date of August 2018.
