Design Quarter set to centralise
home décor shopping
On behalf of PrimeTime, Time Projects’ asset management department is
planning the development of a 3 000m² home décor park in Setlhoa, in
the north of Gaborone.
The concept is to bring together high-end design and décor outlets in
an environment that is attractive to their customers without the top-end
mall rentals. The Design Quarter will cater for all shoppers décor needs
including furniture, tiling, painting, bathroom, kitchen suppliers, fabrics and
any other related businesses.
Setlhoa is the last retail area to be developed and it is closest to the current
major development areas of Phakalane, Gaborone North, Sebele, Block
10 and other surrounding areas. The site location is also highly visible from
the A1 Western Bypass.
“We have different unit sizes available for showrooms, offices and retail
warehouses. We can combine and customise units to accommodate
retailers’ requirements,” says Joe Simpson, Time Projects Asset Manager.
Joe says they are planning to go out to tender in the next month and that
they should be on site by August 2017.
Tenant demand is proving strong with a number of potential occupiers
looking to take space at the centre. The proposed development is due for
completion in the second quarter of 2018.
