The Marlin Snoopy
With a simple and timeless dial, domed acrylic crystal land
a fine leather strap, Timex stayed true to the mid-century
design of its original Marlin while adding a playful twist with
a Snoopy printed dial. The original Marlin was the famous
“keeps a licking and keeps on ticking” watch from the Timex
ad campaign and is now showing up in various limited
editions that will appeal to watch enthusiasts on a budget.
The Marlin Snoopy features an exhibition case back, putting
the 21 jewel automatic mechanical movement on full display.
Functional and simple - the Marlin Snoopy adds a touch of
fun to an otherwise clean and sober design. The retail price
is $249 making it a great value for an entry level mechanical
watch. This 40mm stainless steel version is only marginally
water resistant to 3atm and available at www.timex.com.
