FEW WATCH DESIGNS OVER THE YEARS. Huge
hands and dial markers are easy to read at a glance
on an oversized dial pilot’s watch, while the ubiquitous uni-direction-
al bezel and luminous marker dials asserts to all passers-by that
they are looking at one of a thousand different diver’s types. Field
watches inspired by the first pocket- cum-wrist watches of wartime
sport wire lugs and NATO straps. So military and function driven
designs are nothing new. Having said that, MTM watches go beyond
basic design for their own service pieces. I guess that’s no surprise
from the only watch brand that actually has a timepiece with a radia-
