Few brands have the manufacturing capacity of the Swatch Group
which is why we can see some really amazing values for mechanical
offerings from their mid-level brands. In this case a timeless design
is combined with the three day power reserve of the Swissmatic
movement to create an offering of exceptional value in a Swiss
Made watch. Thanks to an automated construction process, these
watches actually start at under $400 on a NATO strap! Options
include a vintage looking stainless bracelet, a smooth or croc
pattern leather strap, or the ever-so trendy NATO strap to hold the
40mm stainless case in place. If there is a down side to the series it
is the minimal water resistance of 3atm. OK for splash or rain, but I
would not fully submerge any watch with less than a 5 atm rating –
and even then only briefly.
