BULOVA DEVIL DIVER
Partnering with Analog Shift, Bulova celebrates their heritage with a re-release
of the historic dive watch. The partnership kicked off last Fall with the voters
selecting from among the 1972 Oceonagrapher “Devil Diver”, the 1970 Bull-Head
Chronograph and the 1970 Surf-Board Chronograph A.
This year, the original 1972 Oceanographer, known in its time as the “Devil Diver”
Is reborn in two variations. Dubbed the “Devil Diver” due to the 666 feet water
resistance rating printed on the dial, the latest versions released at the Baselworld
fair come in either a 40.5 mm limited edition of 666 with orange dial and a Swiss
Sellita automatic movement, or a larger 44 mm unlimited version with a Miyota
automatic movement and a black dial for $1,495 and $795 respectively. Both are
water resistant to 20atm (666 feet).
