The Colorado-based manufacturing company which salvages and restores pocket watches is shifting its business plan model to better serve customers .
Due to the unprecedented times , Vortic is simplifying the business model for the 2nd half of 2020 by deactivating the Watch Builder , the online customization tool , and focusing on the pre-built watches .
“ We chose to make less custom and made-to-order pieces so our team of skilled watchmakers can put all their effort into building the highest quality pocket watch conversions for our customers ,” says Vortic ’ s CEO and Co-Founder , R . T . Custer .
Each Watch of the Day is built using original antique American pocket watch movements , dials , and hands . Everything inside is old and everything on the outside is modern and predominantly manufactured in the Fort Collins , Colorado workshop .
Vortic ’ s signature “ Convert Your Watch ” service , which allows customers to send in family heirlooms for custom conversions to wristwatches , is still available .
