Transylvania and Switzerland come together to bring to everlasting life a clean and simple manual-wind watch that hints at Transylvania ’ s history of land-based calendars ; specifically , the “ Sarmizegetusa Regia ”.
Crafted in the ever-popular 316L steel with a see through back , you can choose the simpler , or more elaborately decorated manual -wind Unitas 6498 to track the time . On the dial side you ’ ll notice a segmented disk in place of the usual sub-seconds hand . This alludes directly to the historical Transylvanian calendars and is crafted in aluminum to prevent any ill effect on timekeeping or power reserve .
The 42.5mm x 11.2mm case is well built with antireflective sapphire crystals on top and a nice leather strap holding it in place . Water resistant to 10atm , the Peren Hintz is only available on line . Current pricing on the site shows the basic movement version at 496 Swiss Francs .
