Ebel
Wave Rolls On
Clean and classic, Ebel’s latest Wave bridges the gap between sport and
dress. Details like applied numerals, solid link bracelets and and-reflective
sapphire glass speak to the quality construction in the minimalist design.
Small details like the integrated crown and bracelet as well as the domed
hands reflect a subtle understanding of a thoughtfully designed and constructed timepiece. At 40mm Ebel’s wave will also appeal to both men and
women as a gender neutral look that is flexible enough to be dressed up
or down. Retail price $1,800.
Uniform
Moma
London-based watch brand, Uniform Wares has
created a limited edition watch design in collaboration with the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)
in New York. Limited to 150 timepieces, the
Uniform watch will retail for $450 exclusively at
MoMA New York and MoMA Tokyo stores as well
as online. The lug-less watch case features a
multi-layer dial with combination vertical and radial finishes, cut-out dial markings and an etched
minute track. Both the Uniform Wares and MoMA
logos etched on the case back.
Xemex
Keeps Its Kulling
One of Reudi Kulling’s latest graduates from his school of
design is the Piccadilly from Xemex. An olive drab dial with
slim numerals and skeleton hands opens wide with a slim
bezel that creates a stronger platform for the dial and looks
much fuller than the 42mm diameter implies. A Swiss quartz
movement inside and a mineral crystal on top help keep the
price of the Piccadilly under $300 at www.xemex.com
