getting to the national finals
There's this thing called the PGA Jr. League. It's where all of the top junior golf peformers get to play in. It's a team event, so everyone has to cooperate with each other. The best team ends up winning the whole championship. 2015 was Team South Carolina's year.
Our team (shown in picture) was made up of some of the best golfers, aged 12-13, in the midlands. There were 10 of us, divided into 4 groups (3, 3, 2, 2). All 4 groups demolished all of our local matches. We were the best in the state. Now came regionals.
After the first day, we beat both Team Kentucky and Team Tennessee. We were tied with Team North Carolina going into the last day. After my group and I finshed the 6th hole, our whole team was tied with NC. That meant we had to do something. On the 7th hole, I hit a shot to about 20 feet and my partner, Guy, made the putt to put us in the lead. On the 8th hole, I hit a shot to 1 foot to win the regional championship for us and get us to the national finals.
