Technology is growing at a very rapid rate and therefore I need to ensure that my business keeps up with it especially as my customer is young and modern. An example would be the use of ‘Apple pay’ and contactless card readers. Although both aren’t very young inventions anymore they are still becoming used more and more as times goes on. These ways of payments would affect my pop up shops more than my magazine as my consumer may be expecting to be able to pay via these to technologies, so I would need to provide this. Even more so at a festival where a lot of people prefer to not carry cash around with them. I am then ensuring that I am completing that sale at the pop up shops rather than having to ask a consumer to get cash out if it’s over a certain amount of money; making me lose out on revenue and building a rapport with that consumer.

Similar to the political issue of Brexit laws will alter such as restrictions on how easy it is to move around Europe after Britain leaves. It could make it more difficult for the pop up shops to be set up in EU countries and for U.K customers to get too these festivals abroad. Although this is unlikely it could still be a factor. It could be more costly therefore I would have to increase my prices to make up for that cost, which could jeopardise the amount of money my consumers spend at the pop up shops because they aren’t willing to pay that bit extra.
