ABINGTON
On a Monday morning, students from Abington High
get up to go to school. Some wake up early and others not so much.
The busy students all go to their advisories like ants in a colony. The bell rings and we all go off to start the school day.
Walking through the halls are the sounds and echoes of conversations and footsteps blended in a song while walking from class to class.
Others work hard. Some fool around. Others may not care. Abington is simple. It is always the same except on the occasional half days. Students are happy to leave school early. They get excited to go home or hang with their friends.
Abington is welcoming, Abington is different from others. We all know each other whether we are acquaintances, friends, or sit next to each other in class. We all have our groups and a place to belong.
We are together like a chain link fence. Little pieces of wire crisscrossed together to make something bigger than ourselves. We push each other to go on and further improve others. Our small community is more than just a small town. It is a home to all that live in it.
