A little girl always wondered about growing up
She always wanted to bloom too
She wondered who
Who would she become
And if she would change the world
For better, or worse.
People told her lies
Such as time heals everything
But it doesn’t
Maybe some things
But definitely not all
Whether she suffered from a broken heart
That she felt had crushed her
Or another shattered friendship.
She was done
Being ignored
And taken for granted.
Now as a teen
She still feels like
Nobody takes her seriously.
To her
People are just judges
She feels like she gets criticized for anything
She doesn’t just feel this way in school
She feels this with complete strangers
People that don’t even know her name.
She always wanted to grow up
Now she asks why
She wants to be a kid again.
