Life of love
by Tyler Moulton
You are the reason I smile,
But also the reason I cry.
You are why I want to live,
But also why I want to die.
A crush is born of insignificant adoration
And improved upon with persistent flirtation.
You've become the reason I smile.
A crush so often will turn into love
That we later wish to never speak of.
You've become the reason I cry.
So often love isn't shared
And so often for love is one side impaired.
For you I want to live.
Yet it is the one-sidedness that shatter,
Leaving the one side's poor heart battered.
For you I want to die.
