You spend your college funds on lip injections, plastic surgery, makeup, and the trendiest clothes.

You don’t need the money for food because you don’t eat,

you need to be skinny enough to fit into a small.

The smaller the better

But you can’t be too small, you have to be small but big where it counts.

You spend thousands of dollars just so that you can take a perfect a selfie

so that you can impress the friends that you don’t even like.

You try your best to look the best, and yet you aren’t satisfied with the results,

you miss your real friends that you had before you ditched them,

you miss your old face

the face that didn’t have to go to the doctors every other day so they can check up on you because apparently you are “unhealthy”

You are both physically and mentally ill and you know it, and yet you continue with your old habits, because you need to be beautiful.

You are so determined to be “perfect” and you know it’s impossible,

When people call you fake you don’t say anything back because you know it’s true.

You hide behind all of your foundation and mascara, because what is behind all that is, in your opinion, gross.

You shouldn’t be gross after all of the effort you’ve put into yourself.

Maybe if you had just stopped when you had the chance,

you would’ve been beautiful.

BEAUTIFUL
